“Attitude is a choice and in business so many people see the challenges and think the grass is greener on the other side but the grass is greener where you water it. Your attitude is that water” - Bart Yates, CEO

Having a positive attitude can increase your overall experience at work. Your attitude also affects how you work and interact with coworkers. If you have a negative attitude, your work days will be dreadful. You won't want to try your best and your coworkers will see that.

At CAM a positive attitude is necessary for success. Your positive attitude with clients and coworkers will be beneficial in maintaining relationships with them. Having a great attitude might sound easy but it's hard to not consume yourself with negative thoughts from outside of work.

A few ways to keep a positive attitude is by using positive language, staying away from gossip, and not complaining. Positive language can shift your mindset to have a positive look on the day. Changing your negative thoughts to positive thoughts can make your day productive and cheerful. Using language like “I can't” or “I am not good at that” are examples of negative language that can affect your attitude. Change it to “I can” or “this is a great learning opportunity” and you will see changes in your attitude.

Gossip is easy to get caught up in if you aren't careful. Joining gossip can ruin teamwork and create tension in the workplace. Avoiding gossip is the best way to keep a positive and productive attitude. You will have more friends in the workplace and never worry about the drama.

Complaining at work can negatively affect your workplace. It can make you feel worse about the situation you are in and slow your work day down. Your team members will also hear you complaining which can affect their attitudes.

When you have a positive attitude, you also become a great role model for your other coworkers. People in the office will look up to you as a great worker. Your attitude influences other people more than you think. Your positivity will rub off on your team members creating a positive work environment for all.
