The First Week as an Intern

Hi everyone, my name is Madissen Hernandez, and I am the new Social Media Intern here at Charity Advertising & Marketing Partners. I will be interning from May to August and am very excited to work and gain great experience. On May 17, I was excited yet, super nervous because it was my first day interning. My shift started at 9:30 in the morning, so I had to wake up early in the morning, which honestly I'm not a morning person, so it was difficult to get for my first day. Overall, my first day at CAM Partners went smoothly.

In my first week, I completed my first two newsletters, created and designed Instagram posts, and many social media-related projects. On Thursday, I got to network and meet others who work at CAM Partners. I sat at the front desk with Clarie for a few minutes, and she did a rundown on what to do when an individual is here for an interview. First, I check them in online and give them a form to fill out. I greeted a few employees, conversed with individuals in the lobby while they waited to be interviewed. Of course, over time, I will become further experienced at the front desk, less nervous, and identify the employees and their names.

or me to plan. Something about me is that I enjoy staying organized and having a game plan for significant events. I am greatly appreciative that CAM Partners are very flexible with my schedule since I am a college student. While having this internship, I am taking two classes, maybe three, but we will see. This summer is going to be very busy for me! I'm ready for the challenge but also nervous at the same time. Hopefully, I can take this challenge, be successful, and it will help me in my future career. Overall, my first week at CAM Partners, as being a social media intern, was a success.
