Here at CAM Partners we are full of hard working team members! This week meet team member Armond Mortazavi. He likes a challenge and working at CAM has helped him step out of his comfort zone. I got the chance to interview Armond about his culture and childhood. He gave great insight on his culture and it was so fun to learn about!

Armonds parents immigrated to the states from Iran, making Armond a first generation American. Even though he didn't grow up in Iran he still celebrates his culture. One of Armonds favorite traditions from Iran is Nowruz. It is the Iranian New Year and is celebrated March 21-22. Part of the tradition is gathering at the oldest family members house and eating together. Another favorite part of his culture is Chaharshanbe Suri. It takes place on the last day of the year. On this day you jump over fire to welcome happiness and health for the upcoming new year. Armonds favorite food from Iran is loobia polo. It is a rice dish with green beans and beef or lamb.
Armond is originally from Washington D.C and was very involved in his high school. He started his own clubs in high school including The Partisan Club, Environmental Club, Cultural Awareness Club, and Spanish Culture Organization. Armond was also very athletic. He played on the varsity football team and lacrosse team. He loved playing sports and has always been a hard worker.

After high school, Armond got a scholarship to SMU, where he is majoring in finance. He was excited to move from the northeast and come to Texas. He was nervous at first because he didn't know anyone and was in a new city. But he quickly made friends and loved SMU.
Armond is a great team member at CAM Partners. He loves the challenge and enjoys learning new skills from CAM. Working at CAM has also helped him learn more about finance. He is gaining a lot of experience and loves how friendly everyone is.
Fun Fact: If he could have any superpower he would want the ability to teleport!
